Mitchells is permanently closed, primarily because of the weekend street closure for Vanderbilt Open Streets.
BA XUYEN in [Sunset Park] (8th Ave/41 St) formerly my favorite for its delicious pate, sauces and crispy bread seems to have gone through a phase change (new ownership?) the sandwiches are bigger, blander not so special any more. They have introduced a meatloaf sandwich, so bland. Still very busy. Good things dont last forever.

Haven’t visited yet but the lonche banados at Macario looks like it might be worth a try!
