Spotted this pop-up today at the Yorkville Mall today don’t have any reference point for them though. Hmmm maybe if there are around and another warm day will try them
Café Zuzu, the newish Janet Zuccarini resto at 555 Dundas E at Sackville on the ground floor of a Regent Park condo, has a little ice cream window. They have around 8 flavours. The scoops are a generous size. My friend tried the butter tart and the peach flavours, and liked them. I didn’t try any ice cream.
With the last days of warm weather decided to go for a long walk all the way to Bathurst and bloor. Saw a gelato place that reminded of the one at Bay (cha Cheung if I recall) didn’t like anything I wanted to try so walked back to David Rocco. They didn’t have the flavor guests wanted to went to Nani’s not my preferred spot quite a long line despite being somewhat late. Ended up with blueberry pie (has actual pie crust pieces) I didn’t enjoy it but guests choice I guess.
We tried Oops last night at Coxwell and Gerrard. The base is good: creamy, smooth mouthfeel. The pumpkin spice was great, with prominent nutmeg notes. The passionfruit wins points for having actual passionfruit in it, including the green seeds. But it was perhaps a tad too sweet, not allowing the sour tang of the fruit to come through.
