I tried these today. I like them a lot
I tried these chili crisp chips recently too, and loved them. I adore all things Chile crisp, though, so no surprise there.
I’m kind of tickled that they translated this flavor of street corn as “corn of the street”. ![]()
Quebec language laws are intense and strict!
Corn of Mexican Street LOL.
our KFC is PFK in Quebec. Chicken Fried Kentucky. (Since Fried Chicken is Poulet Frit)
Minus the frosting, the Tillamook small, circular ice cream sandwiches are quite delish.
Have you tried them all? We keep passing them up in the ice cream section, but we’re big Tillamook fans.
I finally bought some of these chocolate-pistachio-kadayif treats, both through World Foods.
They were all right, but I think it’s the textures we like best. I don’t think I am really getting pistachio.
The designated grocery shopper went to HEB and fell pray to the sample person, purchasing a foil pan with white cheese, yellow cheese, pico de gallo, and chopped smoked brisket. The instructions called four pouring a half cup of beer or broth over it (we chose beer), heating it at 400F, and stirring to make a brisket chili con queso dip. It was edible but not nearly as good as Velveeta with Rotel tomatoes. It sort of set the scene for Texas vs Ohio State.
Gonna have to look for that!
I’m fairly certain I grabbed it at Raleys - but Nugget is also possible.
I can practically throw a rock and hit a Raley’s from my driveway!
You have Nugget!?! ![]()
At the moment … visiting family in the Folsom area and have fallen in love with Nugget!
Baked Veggie side Italian Style Cauliflower - Lots of seasoning, peppery, not your usual frozen veggies dish. We also thought it tasted quite salty which also helped make it flavorful, but box nutrition stats say 240 mg in a 3/4 C serving. I baked at 350 F (not 425) for 45 minutes. (not 30) beside a small pork tenderloin that was on a separate sheet pan. Only downside is that the relatively large 8x8x2 package, 5 servings, 15 oz, took up excessive freezer space.
I have had them all. Strawberry and vanilla were my favorites. Chocolate was my least favorite. YMMV as I am not a great lover of chocolate.
We were debating the salted caramel ones, but then we remembered the big containers of coffee almond fudge and chocolate hazelnut we still “need” to finish ![]()
Salted caramel is a curious thing. Invariably it is too salty or not salty enough. It also is hard to pair with other things. It can be too firm or too runny. I do not find it works in things but can be divine on things. I will drizzle home made salted caramel over really good vanilla ice cream or over apple pie. However, the salted caramel lobby seems to want it to become the new pumpkin spice, using it in far too many ways.
