Spelling Bee Thread — that is totally a (food) word!

Foodie annoyance today (as on other days): no manti or momo.

They also allow for BLIN.

These two annoyed me as well today. And I agree that ammo but not mammo is DUMB. Also, why not mani (or pedi, for that matter)?

Cami is allowed.

It. Is. Sofa. King. RANDOM.

No lollo, either :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

What is that?

A lettuce. There’s lollo rosso and lollo bianco.

Thanks. I’m always surprised that lolly isn’t accepted. :woman_shrugging:`

Right? But lollipop is. I can’t roll my eyes hard enough on a daily basis, I swearz.

So you can have oodles of noodles but not an oodle of anything.

Birria is a word.

But not larb, laab or laarb.

See, that’s the shit that pisses me off. Absolutely random, no rhyme or reason for any inclusion or exclusion of food terms.

Yeah, that word is only plural. There are others - I don’t think you can have a single “alm” or “jean”.

And libra is not a word? Jeez.

I enjoyed this today though, two 9-letter words that are polar opposites:

‘librarian’ and ‘barbarian’

I’m usually not a fan of the i-n-g pangrams bc there are so. many. gerunds.

OTOH… MOAR words = more points
