Bands seemed to feel it their obligation to play Kansas City when they were in KC, being a quintessential R&R tune.
The two I remember most were Bruce on the River tour and Yes on the Tormato tour.
Both stellar in their own way.
No one ever played this. 
The inspiration for the line in Blazing Saddles, I hope.
