Slow day on the road, despite pretty frosty temps, a few snow flurries, and a stiff breeze 
Winter hath dolphinately arriveth.
Dinner was therefore a warming & comforting affair of TJ’s creamy tomato soup pimped with the Rana cheese torts that had not randomly decided to mold long before their use-by date 
, plus spinach for that extra veg portion.
I also made some basil oil to drizzle over the top / mix in.
I was all out of my fancy citrus oil for my favorite arugula salad, and debated making my own by steeping lemon peels in hot olive oil….. but one of the major things that vinaigrette has going for it is its ease, and I also didn’t have an abundance of lemons = lemon peel in the house. The Cheese Shoppe (sic) downtown allegedly carries it, but they were closed today, and so lemon juice & zest had to do the heavy lifting on the citrus front tonight. 'twerked
