I just saw 85 percent ground beef in a 2 pound package for $12 plus a pound at Lucky Supermarket!!!

Okay thanks, but that’s not new this week is it? This seems dramatically higher than a month ago for around here, although maybe it’s been longer than that since I bought some. Is that what it is where you are?

Tariffs? I have no idea. It’s been a while since I bought ground beef. Maybe someone else who made a more recent purchase can chime in.

Perhaps you could substitute ground turkey for ground beef. I’ve been finding ground turkey for around $2/pound +/-
Thank you! I checked around and it’s more reasonably priced elsewhere, even at our fancy market. Not sure what to make of it, but hopefully it’s a bit of an anomaly.

The price for grass fed ground beef (80/20) on Instacart at Hannaford in my town outside of Boston is $13.99 for a 2lb pack and $6.99/lb for not grass fed. The price goes up from there, depending on brand. May be location specific. We’re mostly eating seafood, so I only buy occasionally.
