The financial suck of running and owning a restaurant can become unbearable. Been there, done that.
Venders put you on COD for late payments. Coming up with payroll so employees can pay their rent. IRS comes knocking for their lb of flesh. Desperation becomes overwhelming.
This actually handy. It would be great if they (or someone) ran a series of these, places to pick up a picnic lunch near parks.

A new giant Korean market, Mega Mart, opens tomorrow Sept 24 in a former Target store at 1775 East Bayshore in East Palo Alto,
This sounds like a smart move on Sattui’s part, in response to the dwindling interest in wine by younger drinkers. The deli offerings have been greatly expanded, a welcome option after Dean & Deluca closed up.
V. Sattui Winery has finally reopened its expanded/revamped deli/wine shop & tasting bar. The new Mercato del Gusto is now a destination that rivals Napa Valley’s legendary Oakville Grocery, located less than five miles south on Hwy 29. Sattui enlarged the open, barn-like structure by 28 feet, which more than doubled the size of the deli and marketplace.
The winery prides itself on a diverse and sometimes unusual wine types, along with new blends aimed at enticing younger generation visitors to become fans. Tastings start at $45, but the winery just launched free flights, featuring three wines, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It has also started a by-the-glass program, onto which visitors can add food pairings.
