I’m seeing this too. It looks like the second icon/blank rectangle is a thumbnail of the first image posted in the thread. Though it’s not showing for all threads that have images.
Definitely takes up more space/makes the page feel more crowded.
Edited to add: I was kind of right. It looks like the second icon/blank rectangle is a thumbnail of the first image in the initial post. If there’s no image in the initial post there’s a blank thumbnail.

Another “oddity” is that the software is now showing a count of the number of times a link has been clicked.

Thank you for getting rid of that 2nd row of icons on mobile.
So here’s something I just noticed on my phone: the choice to watch a thread you might not be posting on is gone.
There used to be a pop-down at the bottom of a thread that had 4 choices:
Watching which meant you’d get notified of all new posts
2nd Option (can’t recall what it was called) meant you were notified if someone tagged you.
Two other options, one was to stop getting notifications completely, and can’t recall the fourth choice.
They used to be below the wrench-to-Reply icons. Was that option removed?

Yeah, that’s what I saw yesterday on my desktop at work. Maybe its never been available on Mobile? But I’m almost positive it has been, as I do use that feature often enough, and I only use my phone for HO on weekends.

I’m still having trouble reading/using HO on my ipad (IOS 16.7.11).
I get a lot of overlay, making it difficult to read. Also, instead of colored numbers showing me the quantity of unread posts to a particular thread, I get a tiny little black-and-white number. Knives-and-forks also do not show up in color, so I have no idea if I already “forked it”. It’s working fine on my desk top and cell phone, just the ipad (which I use quite a bit for browsing HO).
It WAS available on mobile (on my iPhone) but IS gone now.

I’m getting the same as you with my I Phone 8. For now, everything is ok on my PC but I’m getting the message that my PC will no longer be compatible with the system.

Sorry if I missed it but didn’t there used to be a place, at the end of each topic, where you could select how you wanted to follow that topic? I’m not seeing it now. Tried to search here for something on it but didn’t find anything.

On desktop, it’s the same as before.

The ability to change emoji skintone seems to have disappeared (on desktop).
For eg, t2 used to be available but I can’t find how to access it using the menu here (the emoji menu on my phone works fine, but that’s my phone keyboard, not the site).
