I’d try this. It sounds very nice.
I love a salty dog or greyhound (gin and grapefruit juice, with or without a salt rim), so this is right up my alley. Or would be if gin weren’t upsetting my stomach so much lately
.
Just gin? I find the older I get the less my body wants to deal with hard liquor ![]()
I’ve always made those with vodka! Have to try gin.
Same, although I still seem to be okay (ish) with vodka and tequila. Brown liquor is more challenging. But nothing seems to upset my stomach quite like gin these days - not sure why. It’s a bummer, too, since I really prefer gin to vodka or tequila!
Sure it’s not the mixers? Seems clear booze would have the same deleterious effect… though I can’t compare, not being a vodka person at all, and just occasionally indulging in a marge.
If I have more than 2 gin martinis these days my insides get really angry.
Nope. Even when I just mix with seltzer, gin is an issue while vodka is not. It’s weird.

Bummer.
For me, the issue would be the grapefruit juice–can’t mix grapefruit with certain meds of mine.
Yeah, me too. And I love salty dogs and polamas.
I love grapefruit drinks, but don’t like gin.
Also still have bad memories of nursing a girlfriend through a gin hangover in college…you know it was a bad one when the caretaker swears off a drink…
