The What Would You Order thread

what a nice menu!

I would order the gougeres, the white peach Ajo Blanco, the crab toast, maybe the gazpacho. I might also order the frites with aioli. I’m also curious about the goat cheese soufflé.

I hope you post photos of your meal!

Fruit de Mer!!!

What would you order at Duffy’s Tavern in Toronto?

Which meal?

I would go for the dips, trio, chicken tenders and hand cut fries, or the meatball sub.

it was supposed to be lunch!

Schmear or the Basic. I’m not a sweets or a grits eater for breakfast m

Fish’n’Chips for me! One of my favorite pub meals. Washing it down with a bitter arse IPA will not happen, though.

I like fried fish with Coke, lemonade , an Arnold Palmer or grape soda.

Never noticed this thread before until now. Love restaurant menus. I’ll start playing if you don’t mind. My top pick would be the fish and chips as well. But no prices on their online menu is a big turn off for me. No excuse for that.

Yep, this or patatas bravas for me. Or the lobster if someone else is treating. :joy:

11:00 A.M. - St. Tropez (eggs poached hard. I know I know).
Or Ham & Gruyère cheese omelette. No mention of whether they come with home fries, toast or anything else. At those prices I assume they do.
1:00 P.M. - French Onion Cheeseburger with Frites.

No way would I order a $19 Mimosa.

Another vote for St Tropez. I’d probably go with the Parisian on any other menu; I don’t recall ever seeing crab cake Benedict before. Sounds amazing.

$19 Mimosa on offer, but no Bloody Mary? What is this world coming to?

$19 is unfortunately the going rate for 75 percent of the cocktails in Toronto restaurants. Canadians pay a lot more for booze.

I love a good Crab Cake Benny. I had a nice one in Washington, DC on my last visit to the States in 2019.

I ended up getting a Croque Madame and my friend ordered the creamy mushroom tagliatelle. Really nice servers. Not a great take on a Croque Madame. I have been on a Croque mission lately and this one was not typical. What I ordered tasted okay. I don’t think the chef has tried a proper one, or a good one.

Patatas bravas! Le Parisien sounds like I’d love it, too. This is a tough one.

so, the food sort of sucked and the wasps (the winged insects, not White Anglo Saxons) intimidated my friend on the patio. So we won’t return.

I do love Patatas Bravas.
