Hi Desert-Dan, I’ve been making “homemade Boursin”-- you could do that with the cream cheese to make an easy tasty sauce for pasta, maybe also for your Tuna Cakes ![]()
See thread below from Caitlin, that’s just one reference to using Boursin for sauce (it’s also great in eggs), then link to “homemade boursin” recipe. I make mine with fewer herbs and goat cheese due to dietary sensitivity. I suspect you could use the spices you have/like.
Perhaps similar: I’ve been feeling anxiety about availability and price of food. I buy mostly protein and veg/fruit, prices keep going up, sometimes down but I notice up more, it’s stressful! Yesterday was elated to find 6 avocados at Costco for $5.99! A few months ago same avos were $13.99–I kept passing them by. Fall is avocado season; in addition the supply chain is suffering and we’ve been watching pricing shift for a long time now… wishing us all well, and I hope you’re also seeing good in-season produce pricing in the desert!
