Oatmeal microwave cooked with milk (not water), walnuts and fresh-frozen cranberries. Drizzled with small amount of maple syrup after cooking.
This breakfast sounds truly awesome! And I have lots of oatmeal as well as maple syrup AND maple sugar. Time to pull the oatmeal out.
Inspired by a Jan 2022 article by Lisa Fabian “Ultimate Oatmeal”. In addition to a detailed recipe that featured stir-in peanut butter, cinnamon, chopped peanuts and honey, she offered this (photo attached) list of elaborate combinations. I now most often pare back to only use a couple of stir ins but the longer multi-ingredient combinations were also very tasty.
My oatmeal this morning was with banana, golden raisins, heavy cream and always a drizzle of maple syrup. I have made the crunchy peanut butter, honey version. I also like to add dates or craisins, sometimes a pat of butter and brown sugar.
Wish I could eat like that for breakfast (or feel like cooking that early), but I suppose there’s nothing wrong with having it for lunch or even dinner ![]()
Nothing yet, I have to fast 'till noon for a blood panel. Then, probably
l.o. spag & meatballs.
I had a bagel stuffed with eel and gari.
And I must admit, the burps I am getting so far are quite the flavor bomb.
Eat once, taste twice!

We’re out of Chinese leftovers, but have a few flour tortillas left. Thus, pivoting to Tex Mex: chicken quesadilla with refries and cheddar.
