I’m reading along. But my weekday breakfasts tend to be a slice of buttered toast or an English muffin made at work…so not along the same lines as what others on the thread have.

Yes ma’am. Fage, walnuts, blackberries, booberries, goldenberries. Almost like eating the rainbow flag ![]()
We have the white, brown, black, blue and orange. Green & purple would’ve required grapes, but there weren’t any in the house, and yellow would’e required the addition of bananas, which is a big fat nope.

I guess you don’t like bananas? I will eat them but I get mighty tired of them by the end of the winter when we have a limited amount of fruits available.
The only way I’ll eat banana is in a sundae, or battered, deep-fried, and served with drizzled honey and vanilla ice cream, as is often on the menu at German Chinese restaurants.
I don’t find much use for them otherwise, but my PIC loves them. Their ripe smell reminds me of turpentine.
Frozen - (dipped in dark chocolate then frozen until hard-shelled) - is my favorite banana treat. It’s been at least 10 years since the last time I had those (not willing to pay the big price for the commercial version when home-made is so simple.)
Sadly, most of the time bananas here become banana bread; bought with the best of intentions then allowed to linger too long they’re peeled and accumulated in the “future banana bread” plastic bag in the freezer.

Revisiting an Irish pub in Cambridge decades ago I made Eggs Blackstone, easier than Bennie and perfect for the large heirloom tomato on the window sill.
A toasted english muffin is layered up with a slab of grilled tomato, a poached egg, bacon and covered with cheese sauce.
I don’t know, that still sounds like a lot of work to me as someone who cannot poach an egg to save my life ![]()
