I have a couple Newfie cookbooks. Maybe there’s a mention of it somewhere.

My last breakfast of 2024 was a square of a variation on spanakopita, a filo pie made with spinach, escarole, kale, cauliflower, feta, egg, parsley and dill, and a beef roulade.
Half a slice of homadama with cream cheese to not pass out on metaxalone ![]()
Oops I musta missed it. @moderator-team could we move my post to the right spot? Please and thank you ![]()

Oh, no! Do we not have a breakfast thread for this year yet?
Why, lousy!

No worries. With all the new threads abound, things can get confusing ![]()
Just took care of moving it, @ottawaoperadiva .
Thank you!

Sorry to put folks off their feed, but this is my breakfast post-hospital everyday. Every. Day you can figure out whybb
At least I can aggressively chomp the grape nuts. I’ll have some melon later.

Fibre 1 is the cereal roughage at our house, if you get tired of the Grape Nuts. Plus dried prunes, and stewed fruit, metamucil, and benifibre.
I used to like the hot cereal Kashi, that my aunt introduced me to unstop a stoppage, but it’s no longer available in Canada. Just cold cereal Kashis are available and they don’t have as much fibre as Fibre One or All Bran buds.
@LindaWhit — looks like some of us accidentally traveled back in time to 2024 (IF ONLY!!!).
Would you be a doll and move the posts to the present thread? ![]()
Done. I went to try and add “2024” to the subject line of this thread, but couldn’t. Since you started this thread, maybe you can add it? (Not sure if there’s a time limit to do so, even a year + later.)
Oh, that editing timeline has long passed. Another mod would have to do so, I think.
Kashi used to make frozen vegetarian entrée dinners - unfortunately they disappeared. They were pretty good. whole Foods carried them.
I like this one from Trader Joe’s. It’s probably Fiber One.
