I miss having lemon verbena in my garden…
Not a figgy pudding, just a figgy cake, along with some blackberries to keep them company. I happened to purchase a container of smaller than usual figs which lent themselves to being used whole in the cake. They are delicious in the cake.
All the evidence is gone except for a small bit of pound cake. The slice of cake was topped with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, a bunch of jumbo blueberries, and a drizzle of orgeat.
Lemon bars, brownies, and peach bars
and an apple galette served with crème fraîche
from our potluck last night.

We haven’t had a chance to try this one yet, as I ordered late (d’oh!) and we were already done with our afternoon coffee, but we will today.
I’d ordered us a triple chocolate pistachio cookie & another of her amazing CC walnut cookies. We are so fortunate to have her in our 'hood ![]()

I had a slice of the CC walnut cookie,
and a spoon of the halva a friend brought over for ladies night.
I am totally stealing this. Also, I am gonna go bake one of the frozen cookie dough balls in my freezer.

Half of this pistachio kadayif cookie. Purchased at World Market today. Good flavor and light crunch, not overly sweet. Would I spend $5.99 on the regular? Probably not. But a nice sweet after my dinner.
