What did you expect me to do? Face-plant into the takeout container like a horse eating from a trough?

Anyway, the XLB made everything alright

Thus the cup top

I’ve had to come up with some pretty ingenious hacks whilst traveling and trying to eat in my hotel room.
We make due with what’s available

The farmers market I shop at during the summer is open year round. During the summer they are located outdoors however during the winter they move indoors. All of the prepared food vendors are located at one end of the market and there are lots of tables and chairs nearby. I stopped in for lunch today after a Sunday morning art class so I had a felafel sandwich. It came on homemade saj and included felafel of course as well as lettuce and pickled turnips. It was probably the best felafel I’ve ever had and you can’t go wrong with saj. My art class is every Sunday morning for the next six weeks so I will be going to the farmers market for lunch (and maybe a little shopping) every week until class ends. I’m eyeing the bimbimbap cart so that might be on next week’s menu

Yesterday’s pizza…today’s lunch, and I didn’t mind it at all!
A Project Hazelnut slice, fresh mozzarella, Rutgers University hazelnuts, ricotta.
A slice of DiNatale , fresh mozzarella, pine nuts, delicious black olives.
And a watercress salad for a little freshness.

Bacon and jalapeno Havarti omelet with a side of multigrain sourdough batard. Quite filling, so dinner might just be some yogurt and fruit.

I had the absolutely. worst gyro of my life today, delivered. The resto is close by, and everything else I’ve ordered has been fine, and importantly, arrives hot. They do American diner food, and Indian food. I love gyros. Note to self: next time order from a Greek carry-out. Or one that’s run by Greeks. Or go to TJJs and stock up on pitas to freeze, gyro meat and tzatziki.sauce.
