I can just hear them…pee-cue, pee-cue!
Nice. The folks who lived behind us for about 15 years had peafowl (they’re very loud mornings), pigs, goats, and a llama that was best buds with their huge fuzzy white dog. Never saw one traveling around without the other.
The dog and llama would stand at their fence (which was offset from our fence by about 10 feet) and drive my dogs nuts.
On the way home tonight, on a one lane each way 70 mph highway, I spied two motorcycles a few cars back. I knew what was coming. As soon as it turned into a two lane with cars and trucks moving over into both lanes those lane splitters zig zagged on through. They seem to think they’re invincible with no thought to anyone else on the road. It’s all about them. It’s happening more and more nowadays especially on 3/4 lane major highways. I’m tired of it. End of rant.
That’s the time I say a little prayer under my breath.
You peeked!
It’s raining very hard here in the SFBA for the first time this season! I don’t remember having so much rain, so early before.
From SF Gate
It rained less than two weeks ago!
Not like this! Or at least not here. Or am I forgetting?
Oh well. On my mind anyway!
We were driving back to SF from Marin at around 3:30pm this afternoon. It was raining SO HARD, it was almost whiteout on 101!!!
Rarely do we see such heavy rain in the Bay Area.
Just checked my records: on October 3 I recorded nearly an inch of rain!
“T-A-P-E-S-T-R-Y Night!”
I’m embarrassed to admit that I sang this in my head as I was reading it. I’d be absolutely mortified had I sung it out loud!
How did I miss that? Are you in the SFBA? The news has been talking about this like it’s a big deal!
And I am sitting in a parking lot in the pouring rain where my car in is telling me I have a flat tire.
ETA According to Wunderground Vacaville got 0.12 inches on that day.
Well, THAT sucks. AAA to the rescue, I hope?
Not quite, but SFBA-adjacent. I’m betwixt Stockton and Lodi. Sorry about the flat, but the rain’s coming and going today.
I wonder if your weather is that different! Was 1 inch in October unusual there? It sure is here! I’m in Davis right now.
