We don’t generally get that much rain in one storm in early October, but it happens. And in the 24 hours ending at 7am today, we got over 1.3"!
The rain broke 100 year old records for October up and down the state.
I was young enough to have MORE THAN ONE Bay City Rollers album, and quickly learned to be embarrassed by them by the time my Bar Mitzvah rolled around. Thank goodness. I hate to think of the reaction if it has gotten played.
I love leopards.
Especially Def Leppard.
On our first trip to South Africa, we spent a couple of days at a safari lodge. On the last morning, we were almost back at the lodge when the ranger spotted a leopard. He parks up the jeep as close as he can - maybe 30 yards. Leopard just sits there looking at us then gets up and walk right past the jeep. Literally, it came so close I could have patted it. Probably the best experience of that trip.
They are beautiful creatures, just like tigers.
When my daughter was in grade school, she had to write a poem about an animal. Her verse:
Paws, claws
Spots and dots.
We like leopards
Lots and lots!
The panther is like a leopard,
Except it hasn’t been peppered.
Should you behold a panther crouch,
Prepare to say Ouch.
Better yet, if called by a panther,
Don’t anther.

Leopards and their spots, tigers and their stripes. A reliable reality ![]()
Lots of spots, but a leopard can’t change his shorts.
Bahahaha. Good one.
I think it’s kinda cool that Frankfurt Airport has a yoga room. I had to open the door and check it out.
Not bad - the huge Buddha pic is a bit odd as he wasn’t a big yoga enthusiast as far as I know. Pretty good set up for an airport. There were several mats and stuff to clean them with.
I just love a quiet, lazy Sunday. The only sounds are the strong winds outside, and tiny kitteh snores.
Happiness is a peaceful home & a peaceful mind ![]()
Are those 3 different rooms or the same room available for different uses?
Three different rooms
Love the old adage. What goes around comes around.
Cool. Are they finally done with construction? I was through there once or twice a year in the early 2000s up to about 2012 and it seemed the whole place was temporary throw-up wall artificial corridors and what not.
One time, no one including me knows how, I got to the gate without going through security. Cue the instant “Guys With Uzis”, who all wanted to know how I’d bypassed security. I didn’t have a clue. I was just following temporary throw-up corridors the whole time.
Ha! I think the 3-in-1 concept wouldn’t really work for that combo of uses.
It seemed all up and running fine. It was a bit confusing as the signage to get to Terminal 2 is not clear at all. But I managed to find some airport staff who were helpful in pointing out where I needed to go.
