(US) Thanksgiving is “late” this year (as you may have noticed from the atmospheric music that has been playing in stores for the past month plus to jump-start the shopping season).
What planning is afoot for holiday celebrations for the remainder of the year?
Special food? Drinks? Snacks & food gifts?
(May all your efforts be well-rewarded, but, just in case, the Mishaps thread is here)

We’re going away for 4 nights over Xmas, so will be letting the hotel fuss about all that food. In the period before and after, I think we’ll just be having "normal " food.

Nope. The “Lake District” in northwest England - a couple of hours drive north for us. Twice we’ve stayed in the winter. Twice we’ve ended up getting snowed in. Snow, log fires, lots of nice food cooked by someone else - just about a classic Christmas. I’ll have to write to Father Christmas to tell him we won’t be at home for his delivery.
There are folks who plan ahead and like to chat about it, and there are those who aren’t.
Not everyone understands the point of a weekly menu planning thread, but it exists and it’s active .
(Nor the point of telling everyone what they ate for dinner or lunch or breakfast or even dessert, never mind all of those, but those are all active threads too .)
Day of the Dead is coming up soon. I guess it’s technically fall, but then again Thanksgiving, Saint Nicholas Day and St Lucia Day fall in the Fall, too!
