Updates and running commentary from our critters

It’s def going to have to be a pair of names from music, film or food

My daughter was doing film directors for a while, first, Fellini, then, Orson, both black males.

A wildlife rehabilitator near me refers to that portion of critter anatomy as “troublepuffs..”

Congratulations on the new kitties! They have found a wonderful home with you.

Thank you! To say that we are excited is the understatement of the year

So is it official? Have you officially adopted the cuties? If yes, then congratulations to you and those lucky kitties  They just hit the jackpot :slightly_smiling_face:

When we lost our previous Frenchie, Bulgari, Mrs. P was heartbroken. He was her little baby. We originally planned on waiting a year, but Mrs. P needed to fill that hole in her heart. She tricked me by leaving this gorgeous blue eye Frenchie on her laptop for me to ‘accidentally’ see. I fell in love with Matisse, and the rest is history :slightly_smiling_face: It was the best thing to happen to us, filling that hole in our hearts.
Sometimes, you just have to get back on the bike.

I wish you the best of luck with your little cuties!

Better than ‘FC’ and '‘GDC’.
We used to hear about a cat named, ‘No No Bat Cat Rudy’ (or something close to that) on our public radio Pet Wars fundraiser every spring.
Glad to see they are bowl buddies!

Thank you for your kind words! Yes, our adoption application for the two boys is pending, and I am very hopeful to take them home tomorrow!!!

We decided on “Jones” for Caleb (the orange cat), as he looks a lot like Jones from the movie Alien. We might stick to Jake for the other boy, as there is a book called The Cat From Outer Space, and that cat’s name is… Jake

That hole in our hearts was aching. Time to fill it with new love for new kitties. Rocky wouldn’t have wanted it any other way :mending_heart:

It’s still there :slightly_smiling_face:

It isn’t for me. Something got screwed up when I left an editing window open too long. The content disappeared nn

Hopps has a built-in alarm. When his ears get infected they emit an aroma that would, to quote my father in law, “Puke a buzzard off a gut wagon.” The alarm went off last night. Now he is wandering around, panting uncontrollably, his left ear packed with antibiotics. I will now mix martinis. They help me to filter his efforts to share his misery.

Awww. Poor baby. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon — for both of your sakes!

And cheers! Martinis can cure a lot of things.

Merci.

I can 100% sympathize. My big lab had huge floppy ears and loved to swim…so we were constantly battling an ear infection.

Oddly, our English setter never had one, and he used his one brain cell to swim halfway across a large inland lake

Wow, your setter had a whole brain cell?! Hopps is pushing 14 and still doesn’t know his name. He is handsome, sweet, still active, and dumber than a bag of barber hair.

My departed miniature schnauzer was an avid digger. Of course they were bred to root out rats…she would then scratch her ears, and the resultant mess was truly disgusting. I pulled all sorts of stinky stuff out of her ears when I bathed her (pretty frequently. I definitely relate to Tim’s FIL’ s saying. Our cat is much lower maintenance.

Oh my. I hope your Hopps feels better soon.

So…. Jake/Shake is a farter. Wow.

Amazing how such a tiny boy can create such a breathtaking cloud of stank :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:
