Did not know this was a thing! Knew this was a thing, though.
Sometimes, simple is best. Even better when someone else makes it ![]()
Grilled cheese with sharp American on Dave’s seedy bread.
That’s how I make my grilled cheese sammies - just the cheese and bread. I remember getting a grilled cheese at a take out place a few years ago and they added sliced tomato to my grilled cheese ![]()
Hah! That is an extremely normal sandwich where I’m from. Years ago, I ordered one in a diner in Solon, Iowa, and the server looked at me like I had two heads. “You want grilled cheese?” “Yes.” “AND tomato.” “Yes.” “On the same sandwich?” “Yes.” “Oooookay.”
It can make it unnecessarily soggy. I’d rather have a sliced tomato with a little s&p on the side.
I first heard of them from a travel TV show called ‘Two for the Road’. Big as a cat’s head? Maybe .
According to my ten seconds of internet research, yes.
I once measured one (unscientifically) against my cat’s head, and yes.
I’m imagining the cat’s surprise ![]()
Yes, I can hear the kronch there😊
Cheesy kronchy goodness. Just like me.
Hey — my PIC eats them voluntarily and with gusto. @PedroPero calls them geezer buds, and we’ve not called them anything but ever since ![]()
Could you add some yogurt & fruit, or is that a big no?
Got yogurt. Eat fruit. Gonna get some boo berries today. So sad that I like them with whipped cream
.
October 14 = Battle of Hastings Day = Full English breakfast.
Eggs, bacon, sausage roll, potatoes, roasted tomatoes and mushrooms. Heinz beans and HP sauce optional.
On a less traditional note, there was gazpacho.
Those aren’t proper geezer buds tho..
Wut? How so?
