What's for breakfast? (2025)

Do I have to pour the Ensure on them instead of drinking it separately? :squinting_face_with_tongue:

HUH? Those are the original geezer buds! Euell Gibbons sez so!

Strammes Mäxchen … or should that be Strammes Mess-chen? Fresh eggs from a friend’s hens (one of which broke) fried in lamb fat & butter over Wegmans’ seeded bread, rosemary ham, provolone.

Tasted better than it looked.

It is very difficult for me to eat my six ‘snacks’ a day while keeping the total volume (solid and liquid) to about a cup. One egg, 1/2 piece of toast and a few sips of tea…that’s it. One half of an Oikos 20gm protein fruit yogurt with a few slices of strawbs, kiwi or berries for another snack. 3/4 cup of Fat free cottage cheese and a few grape tomatoes or another. Celery and nut butter. A small piece of flavorable, quality meat. I’m trying to keep the protein count up, it is hard. The dietitian* gave me a slew of protein drinks, to drink but the volume is too much to take in and I don’t get the satisfaction of the chew. Gotta have the chew. Chomp, chomp.

Grape Nuts came out in 1897. All-Bran Buds were developed later. So yeah - maybe Grape Nuts don’t have the name “buds” in the brand, but they were breaking teeth if you didn’t let them soften a bit in milk way before All-Bran.

I think Grape Nuts have a bigger market share in the States, than in Canada.

I dunno about other people, but I really enjoy cereal for dinner.

Probably more than for breakfast.

In fact, I rarely have cereal for breakfast.

If I don’t post my WFD, it’s because it’s leftovers from a previous cook. Or it’s breakfast for dinner: either cereal, or scrambled eggs and toast.

Breakfast burrito - scrambled egg, bacon, cheddar cheese, salsa in flour tortilla. Beverage of champions - coffee. Just what I was hungry for, and I’m now fueled for the day of volunteer work from my home computer.
