Cake D’ Alsace. Apple pie. Hard boiled egg.
Needs meat.
Yikes!
Spanakopita
Waffles from Breakfast with Beatrice (Beatrice Ojakangas), featuring whole wheat flour, oatmeal and chopped walnuts. I was happily surprised that as each cooked all ingredients melted together to give a stays-crispy sturdy waffle. No chewy-bits of oatmeal or the nuts, just flavor. Great with maple syrup and fresh strawberries.
The book has 18 different waffle recipes , and I’m planning to have fun trying them all this year.
I recommend lemon pepper. Its salty too.

A few words, please, about the (onion strings?) at the top and the (pickled red cabbage and microgreens?) salad in the center… Did you cook this at home?
Clockwise from top
Fried shallots, bacon, poached eggs (2), toast (1), pickled red cabbage and microgreens.
I did, but not at home.
Thanks - Perfectly cooked food and very appealing plating, too.
Foster that creativity!
Nice sandwich! As for your plate… don’t put it in the dishwasher if you want it to last and certainly no microwaving! Additionally, be aware of melamine dining ware leaching undesirable chemicals into your food. There are studies out there to check out: jamanetwork.com search ‘melamine’. All of our melamine ware is used for non acid, cold or room temperature use. We found this out after the kids used their Disney character ware for years. Back in the day, I bought melamine kids ware from the Betty Crocker boxtop catalogs. Like lead glazes in pottery and china ware, ya gotta be aware.
