I used supermarket (Tesco) own brand medium egg noodle nests. Nothing fancy!

What an amazing pre-birthday feast! I would have enjoyed it all…although probably had to take some home as well. That’s a lot of chicken breast after everything that came before.

Pulled out a container of lentil soup from the freezer(thought it was the last remnants of a previous batch of bean soup), garnished it with toasted bread cubes ,crispy chorizo, a dash of Franks and a shower of Parm/Regg. A lovely, breazy, cool-ish evening here, perfect for a bowl of soup.

Tonight’s dinner was a corn, radish, cherry tomato salad with a little feta stirred in. It was good because I made it.

I have deck chives to use before the weather gets to them. Was there a chive sauce out there that would work with scallops?

There was.

A lemon, butter and chive sauce was drizzled on pan-seared scallops served on top of leftover rice pilaf, with sautéed sugar snap peas, red bell pepper and onions with Penzeys Tuscan Sunset seasoning blend alongside.

There was wine.

Taking a pic of his dinner tonight before it goes on the grill because once it comes off, there is no time. Trying to cut back on starch. Grilled a chicken breast for me. Cooled off sliced chicken, avocado, whole berry cranberry sauce on toasted multigrain bread. A little Dukes. Along with the last of the Chili Cheese Fritos. Hmm, he doesn’t eat CCF’s. So where in the heck did the whole bag go I wonder. Which is why I only buy them maybe twice a year.:slightly_smiling_face:

Blackened BC king salmon with a sweet and salty rub. Salad greens in vinaigrette, with caramelized pecans, honeycrisp apples, and Point Reyes blue cheese. Good stuff!
