What's for Dinner #123 - the Start of the End of the Year Edition - November 2025

Recent meals at home.

Smitten Kitchen’s mushroom bourgignon, an old favorite, served over pasta or multi-grain rice.

Another unappealing photo, this one of chicken katsu for the guys, which they both gobbled up (Spring Onion had an iceberg lettuce/sesame dressing salad for his side).

Feta-tomato bake, served over Rao’s fusilli (an impulse purchase by B on a rare food shopping trip), another favorite. I always use good feta (Maplebrook Farm VT).

The Olive Garden Tuscan soup. Never been to Olive Garden, but I’ve been making a version of this soup for years, using TJ’s veggie Italian “sausage” and ample dollops of Calabrian chili paste. Made recently in tribute of Marilyn Hagerty
