Yes. It was not a great year for Asian pears this year, but good enough. They hold up well in the fridge if you don’t let them over-ripen on the tree.
I love a sage-heavy breakfast sausage!
Cold smoked salmon with a generous blob of ssspicy horseradish. And a taste (the two wings, to be exact) of the ginormous roti chicken I brought home to be taken apart later.
my salmon brekkie…
Pan fried fillet, in a wrap with bacon, lettuce, blue cheese, and mayo and mustard.
Wow! What a boss way to start the day!
Yesh!
Lidl have a ‘bloody mary’ salsa in amongst their selection of chutneys etc, good enough to eat straight out of the jar, or to dress a breakfast wrap…

A lovely breakfast of 4 lonely crisper cremini sautéed in the chicken fat* I skimmed from the broth I made Sunday, plus two scrambled eggs with parsley.
*I keep almost all rendered fats for future cooking.
Scrambled eggs with bacon lardons and scallions. Leftover creamed spinach. Leftover cheese-and-herb potato gratin.
BBB (basic bish breakfast):
a toasted slice of Aldi’s wonderful seeded bistro bread with Wegmans rosemary ham & havarti. Oh, and a shmear of local cream cheez.
Not so basic: grilled cheez with havarti and the last slice of TJ’s stinky raclette on TJ’s sourdough.
Tasted even better served in bed ![]()
